That is a bottle of Courvoisier V.S. Cognac. Retails at around £35. I was tempted to confiscate it for my own drinks cabinet, but timidity and respectability prevailed. Gives a hint of Stockwood Crescent's former glory. Not the type of drink you would find in the Hitchin Road or Brook Street.
